Amman: Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed Tuesday bilateral relations and regional developments with his Finnish counterpart, Elina Valtonen. The talks in the capital Amman addressed efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the immediate and adequate delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip, and regional and international efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

According to Qatar News Agency, Safadi stressed the importance of more countries recognizing the Palestinian state, reaffirming Jordan’s commitment to the two-state solution. The two ministers also discussed developments in Syria, with Safadi emphasizing the importance of supporting the Syrian government in the reconstruction process on the basis of ensuring Syria’s unity, security, and stability.
