Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, received, today, Friday, a phone call from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, focusing on efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and bring sufficient aid into the Strip, including through Jordan.
Al-Safadi and Blinken stressed the priority of removing all obstacles to the adequate and immediate entry of aid into Gaza. The two ministers discussed regional developments and efforts to reduce escalation in the region.
Al-Safadi stressed the necessity of opening all crossings for the entry of aid to confront the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the war and the obstacles to the delivery and distribution of aid in Gaza.
He stressed that Jordan is able to send hundreds of trucks to Gaza daily as soon as the northern crossings are opened and the United Nations and its organizations are enabled to receive and distribute aid.
Al-Safadi also stressed the need to stop the aggression against Gaza, and warned of th
