The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Industrial Inspection & Pollution Control Department, has participated in a joint meeting between the civil protection authorities (Civil Defense) and authorities responsible for environment in the Arab Countries. The meeting was held on 30th September? 1st October in the Tunisian Capital.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the means of cooperation between the Arab Countries to combat the pollution hazards and disaster response. The meeting was attended by Dr/ Mohammed Ayed Al-Shamari, Director of the Industrial Inspection & Pollution Control Department, and Mr. Ahmed Mal Allah Al-Malki, Director of the Pollution Combat Sector within the Department.
