Jerusalem – Together – The major humanitarian operation launched by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency was concluded in Jerusalem, with noble instructions from the Moroccan King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1445 AH.
The agency presented the outcome of this qualitative operation during a massive iftar ceremony attended by a group of Jerusalemite legal figures and Islamic and Christian religious authorities, led by the Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, the Director of the Islamic Endowments Department and the Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib, and the Deputy Governor of the City, Abdullah Siam. And a number of representatives of civil institutions and associations.
The agency said in a statement that “during this specific operation, more than 2,200 food parcels were distributed in two phases, to 3 main hospitals in Jerusalem, and about 3,000 Jerusalemite families,
distributed among all Jerusalem neighborhoods and camps, in addition to the isolated neighborhoods of the governorate outside the wall.”
More than 30,000 food rations, 1,000 daily rations, were distributed throughout the holy month, including, in particular, visitors to the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City. Families in the various Jerusalem neighborhoods inside and outside the wall, social centers, hospices, and homes also benefited from them. Shelter.
The agency mobilized important logistical means to make the operation a success, as more than 100 temporary job opportunities were created throughout the month of Ramadan, benefiting from the city’s youth, male and female, who were distributed among the service teams in the warehouses to carry out the operations of sorting, packing and loading materials, and the field teams that were responsible for distributing meals, to Along with bakery and kitchen workers, catering teams, health and quality control teams, and first aid teams.
The operation left a
great impact on the hearts of families and all beneficiaries from all segments and categories, especially orphans, residents of shelters and nursing homes, patrons of social centers, hospices, and Qur’an centers, visitors of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and associations of persons with disabilities, in addition to a number of displaced people from Gaza. , who were included in this specific process.
The humanitarian operation culminated in the distribution of 200 vouchers to purchase Eid clothes, which benefited the orphans sponsored by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, which brought joy and happiness to the children and their families.
