‘Jerusalem Electricity’ and the Engineers Syndicate sign a cooperation agreement

Jerusalem – Together – The Jerusalem Governorate Electricity Company, represented by its General Director, Engineer Muhammad Zidan, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Palestinian Engineers Syndicate, represented by the Syndicate’s President, Engineer Nadia Habash, at the Syndicate’s headquarters in Al-Bireh.

The signing of the agreement from the company was attended by the Director of the Technical Affairs Department, Engineer Salah Alqam, the Director of the Main Stations Department, Engineer Reda Al-Sarraj, the Director of the Vocational and Academic Training Center, Engineer Bassam Badr, the Director of the Office of the General Manager of the Company, Ms. Dalal Al-Abbasi, the Company’s External Public Relations and Protocol Officer, Mr. Firas Jubran, and others. The union’s deputy head, Engineer Munther Al-Barghouti, the secretary, engineer Izz al-Din Abu Gharbiyeh, the head of the Tulkarm branch committee, engineer Khalil Atir, the head of the Hebron branch committee, engineer Omar Dahman, th
e head of the Salfit branch committee, engineer Munir Abu Yaqoub, and the director of the training department, engineer Mamoun Abu Rayyan.

The memorandum aims to maximize the benefits achieved from the capabilities available to the two teams, and improve national capabilities and skills in the fields of engineering related to energy and renewable energy, in addition to developing and improving the energy reality in Palestine. The memorandum includes multiple areas of cooperation between the company and the union, such as exchanging experiences and knowledge in the fields of training, implementation and maintenance. Organizing practical training programs for male and female engineers, and holding workshops to develop engineering work.

For his part, Engineer Zidane expressed his happiness in cooperating with the union, noting that this memorandum will contribute to developing and improving the energy sector.

He also stressed the continuation of the Jerusalemite Company in weaving more cooperative relations w
ith all official and private Palestinian institutions and unions within the framework of enhancing joint cooperation and in a way that serves our citizens in all concession areas, indicating that this comes within the framework of the general strategy of the Jerusalem Governorate Electricity Company, which was approved by the general management of the company. .

For her part, Engineer Habash welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of this partnership, which reflects the union’s commitment to enhancing engineering work and improving the infrastructure of the energy sector in Palestine, raising the capabilities of male and female engineers in this important field, and enhancing mutual cooperation between the two parties.

The agreement will last for three years between the Jerusalem Governorate Electricity Company and the Engineers Syndicate, as the two teams seek to enhance practical capabilities to provide the best services to engineers and society.
