SEOUL: A Jeju Air flight was forced to return to Gimpo International Airport shortly after takeoff on Monday due to a landing gear malfunction, marking the second such incident for the airline in as many days. The previous day's crash involving a Jeju Air plane resulted in the tragic death of 179 passengers and has raised serious questions about the airline's safety protocols.

According to Qatar News Agency, Jeju Air Flight 7C101, which was en route to Jeju Island, encountered landing gear issues shortly after its departure. The airline, after identifying the mechanical problem, promptly informed the 161 passengers on board and made the decision to return safely to Gimpo Airport. The company assured the passengers that a replacement aircraft would be provided to complete their journey.
