Italian Consumer and Business Confidence Up in May

Rome: Both consumer confidence and business confidence have risen in Italy this month, Italy’s National Statistical System (Istat) said. The national statistics agency reported a notable increase in its consumer-confidence index, which rose from 92.7 to 96.5 in May.

According to Qatar News Agency, Istat also noted an increase in its IESI business-confidence index, which went up from 91.6 to 93.1. The agency highlighted that positive signals were evident across all business sectors, with the sole exception being the construction sector.
