Quneitra:A monitoring group has reported 280 Israeli violations in Syria during September, marking an increase of about 5% from the previous month.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Sajel center documented a total of 2,032 violations since the beginning of 2026. The highest number of incidents in September occurred in Quneitra with 192 cases, followed by Daraa with 67, and the Damascus countryside with 21.
The report highlighted 24 artillery shelling incidents, which represented a 50% rise from August and were the highest monthly total recorded this year. These shellings targeted areas around villages, farmland, and locations utilized by shepherds and farmers. Livestock was reportedly killed in western Quneitra and Daraa as a result.
Additionally, the report documented 113 ground incursions, compared to 109 in August. Israeli patrols and military vehicles reportedly entered villages, agricultural roads, and areas around dams and hills. Some operations involved questioning shepherds and farmers, gunfire in populated and agricultural areas, and an assault on a shepherd.
There were also 58 military and reconnaissance aircraft flights recorded, primarily over Quneitra and Daraa, as well as parts of the Damascus countryside and areas near the disengagement line.
Since December 8, 2024, the center reported 257 people had been detained in southern Syria, with 36 still in detention, in addition to five Syrians detained before that date. Following the release of one detainee on October 1, the total number of Syrians still held was reported to be 40.
