The israeli occupation forces arrested in the past 24 hours at least 20 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including a child and freed prisoner.
In a joint statement, Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said that the arrests took place in Hebron, Qalqilya, Tubas, Bethlehem, Al-Quds (Occupied Jerusalem), Ariha, Nablus and Ramallah, adding that the occupation continues to carry out widespread incursions and destruction in governorates, towns and refugee camps, accompanied by sabotage and destruction of Palestinian homes, and severe beatings against detainees and their families.
The statement pointed out that the occupation forces arrested dozens of workers in the West Bank, under the pretext that they did not carry a permit into the territories of 1948. The number and identity of the victims is still unknown.
The arrests of Palestinians in the West Bank have exceeded 8,535 since the start of the israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip
on Oct. 7. The israeli occupation has been arresting Palestinians from their homes and through military checkpoints, forcing them to surrender themselves under pressure, and holding them hostage.
The cities, towns and refugee camps of the occupied West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem have been subjected to daily raids and incursions by the occupation forces and settlers, accompanied by clashes, arrests and shootings. The frequency of these acts of violence has increased in conjunction with the ongoing israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
