Accra:Southern Syria The Israeli forces launched a new offensive, firing four artillery shells near the villages of Abidin and Maariya in the Yarmouk Basin area of the western Daraa countryside.
According to Qatar News Agency, the operation coincided with an advance into the west of the village of Saida Al Hanout in the Quneitra countryside. Israeli forces conducted incursions into several areas in the Quneitra and Daraa regions.
The Sijil Center, which documents Israeli actions in Syria, reported that the number of violations by Israeli forces in Syria reached 280 in September, a 5% increase from August's 267 violations. The total number of documented violations since the start of 2026 has risen to 2,032, with Quneitra governorate witnessing the highest number of cases at 192, followed by Daraa with 67, and rural Damascus with 21 violations.
