Beirut: Israeli warplanes launched several violent raids on Beirut’s southern suburbs tonight.
According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli forces heavily fired at various areas of the suburb as a warning for residents to evacuate.
In addition to the general bombardment, Israeli warplanes specifically targeted a building near the Al Qaim Mosque in the southern suburbs. This escalation comes despite a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon that went into effect on November 27, which stipulated the Israeli withdrawal from border areas within 60 days.
The deadline for withdrawal was later extended until February 18. However, Israeli forces have remained at five points, continuing daily violations.
