Iraqi authorities announced on Monday the arrest of three ISIS members in the capital, Baghdad.
In a statement, the General Military Intelligence Directorate said that, after receiving accurate intelligence information, it was able to arrest three members of the organization wanted by the judiciary, one of whom belonged to the so-called “Yarmouk Division”.
During the investigations, the detainees confessed that they belonged to ISIS, the directorate added, pointing out that they were referred to the judiciary.
Iraqi forces are still pursuing ISIS in various governorates of the country, especially since the militants, from time to time, target army, police and security personnel alike through ambushes and bloody attacks.
