Iranian, Japanese FMs Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations

In a telephone call with his Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various areas, as well as a number of regional and international files of mutual interest.

During the call, Abdollahian stressed the depth of Iran-Japan relations, adding at the same time that Tehran considers diplomacy and dialogue to be the way out of regional and global challenges.

Japan’s Foreign Minister expressed Tokyo’s readiness to support the completion of the Vienna negotiation process on Iran’s nuclear programme and welcomed the positive course of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.
