Doha: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi affirmed that his country’s position on returning to negotiations with the US “remains firm,” stressing that negotiations will not resume while Israeli aggression against Iran continues.

According to Qatar News Agency, Araqchi stated that the attack launched by the US on Iranian nuclear facilities is an aggression that violates all international laws and the nuclear non-proliferation regime.

Iran was in the midst of negotiations with the US when the latter pushed Israel to launch an attack on Iran, Araqchi said, adding that his country continued the diplomatic path and continued negotiating with the Europeans.

Araqchi affirmed that Iran will continue to defend itself, noting that his country has not committed any violations of international laws and will make new decisions in line with the current situation.
