Gaza: The International Organization for Migration (IOM) revealed that the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip has forcibly displaced nearly 180,000 people in just ten days, as of May 25.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement issued on behalf of the Global Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster, the IOM expressed deep concern over the increasing number of direct attacks on shelters, describing them as a recurring pattern that further exacerbates the dire humanitarian conditions faced by the displaced population.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated on Monday that Israel’s occupation targeting of schools sheltering displaced civilians – particularly women and children – ceased to be isolated or incidental and has instead become a systematic policy, constituting one aspect of the ongoing crime of genocide against Palestinians for over 19 months.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Monitor added that Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out horrific massacres by bombing shelters, destroying the remaining civilian infrastructure, and imposing harsh living conditions that deny even the most basic means of survival. These actions represent a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a systematic stripping of civilians from fundamental protections.
