IOF Arrests 12 Palestinians in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) has arrested, since yesterday, at least 12 Palestinians in the West Bank, including a child and freed captives.

In a joint statement, Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said that most of the arrests took place in Al-Khalil Governorate, while the others occurred in Nablus, Salfit and Qalqilya.

The joint statement said that the IOF have continued to storm Jenin Governorate and its camp since the morning, adding that it has not yet been possible to confirm the arrests.

During arrest operations, the IOF carries out severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to vandalizing and destroying Palestinian homes, the statement added.

Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli genocide on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023, the number of arrests in the occupied West Bank has risen to at least 9,185. These arrests included those who were arrested from homes or through military checkpoint
s, as well as those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
