Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received here today UK Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East, Air Marshal Martin Sampson.
Chief of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hasan Al Hasan, was present.
The Interior Minister welcomed the British official in Bahrain, hailing the outstanding historical ties between Bahrain and the United which extend for more than two hundred years.
The Interior Minister hailed the sound vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which preserved Bahrain’s security and territorial integrity in light of the changes and challenges.
UK Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East expressed his appreciation for the programmes and projects launched by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of promoting human rights, foremost of which is the civilised alternative sentencing project and the open prisons programme.
The meeting reviewed security cooperation and coordination, along with the latest regional and international security developments.
