Interior Minister honours Quran contest winners

The fifth edition of the Interior Ministry Quran Contest has concluded today.

Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa attended the final ceremony, in the presence of the Public Security Security.

The Ministry of Interior Undersecretary also attended the conclusion of the competition, which was organised by the Security Guards General Directorate.

The minister hailed the care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the Holy Quran.

He praised the royal patronage of the Bahrain Quran Grand Prize, which further supported the Kingdom’s standing in the Islamic World.

Two hundred officers, non-commissioned officers and civilian contestants were in the fray vying for the 2023 edition, which covered five categories for men and three others for women.

Competition Supervisor Colonel Faisal Mohsen Al Arjani expressed thanks and gratitude to the minister, hailing support to the staff, extending thanks to the Public Security Chief and members of the jury and organisers.

The minister honoured the children of the martyrs of duty and injured servicemen who took part in the competition, as well as top winners. He also honoured members of the jury, the organisers and the Directorate of Security Guards.
