Information Minister signs two memoranda of understanding between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Brunei

Information Minister Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi today signed two memoranda of understanding in the fields of media and culture.

The deals were inked on the sidelines of the current visit of HM Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Alnoaimi hailed growing cooperation between the two countries, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HM Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.

He stressed the importance of HM the Sultan of Brunei’s visit which will further push bilateral relations forward and contribute to reinforcing joint cooperation.

He noted that the two memoranda of understanding he had signed aim to reinforce media and cultural cooperation, exchange expertise to reflect development strides in both countries.

“The memorandum of understanding in the cultural aspect aims to build cooperation initiatives between institutions concerned with culture in the two countries, in addition to exchanging cultural activities and information and organizing events that would contribute to enhancing mutual respect, understanding and friendship between the two peoples”, said the minister.

He noted that the second memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen media relations by encouraging the exchange of information, visits and training courses, as well as expertise in the field of developing regulatory frameworks for the practice of media activities.

In a statement. Dr. Alnoaimi stressed the importance of the role of media in developing and deepening relations between the two countries and peoples.
