HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the newly elected Chairman and Board Members of the Bahraini Journalists Association

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the newly elected Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association, Isa Al Shaiji, and its Board Members, at Riffa Palace.

His Royal Highness emphasised the role played by the local press in promoting Bahrain’s growth and development, through its ongoing efforts to highlight the achievements made through the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated the Chairman and the Board Members on winning the elections and serving a new term.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of the efforts of the local press in their efforts to objective and responsible journalism, through publishing articles that raise public awareness across a variety of issues that serves the Kingdom and its citizens.

His Royal Highness noted the contributions of the Kingdom’s journalists as part of Team Bahrain, through their efforts in highlighting Bahrain’s achievements and successes which reflects positively on the Kingdom.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the efforts made by the national press and media professionals in supporting the Kingdom’s advancement is a matter of appreciation and pride.

For his part, the Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, noting HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s ongoing support of the Kingdom’s local media and press, which helps to advance the Kingdom’s aspirations.

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Information, HE Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi, also attended the meeting.
