Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (58) of 2024, on restructuring the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), based on a proposal by the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.Article IThe Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) shall be restructured as follows:The President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), overseeing:First: The Human and Financial Resources DirectorateSecond: The Cultural Properties and Projects DirectorateThird: The Communication and Partnerships DirectorateFourth: The Director General of Antiquities, overseeing:1- The Antiquities Directorate2- The Archaeological Sites DirectorateFifth: The Director General of Culture and Museums, overseeing:1- The Culture Directorate2- The Museums DirectorateSixth: The Director General of Heritage, overseeing:1. The National Heritage Directorate2. The Handicrafts DirectorateArticle IIDecree (15) of 2017 on restructuring t he Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) shall be repealed.Article IIIThe Prime Minister shall implement this decree, which takes effect upon its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.Source: Bahrain News Agency
