Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (47) of 2024 on restructuring the Board of Trustees of Primary Health Care Centres, based on a proposal of the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article I
The Board of Trustees of Primary Health Care Centres shall be restructured and chaired by Dr. Abdel Wahab Mohamed Abdel Wahab. The members are as follows:
1- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health as deputy chairperson.
2- Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Operations at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
3- Director General of Organisation and Position Budget at the Civil Service Bureau (CSB).
4- Dr. Shawqi Abdullah Amin.
5- Wasan Saeed Al Khuza’ai.
6- Dr. Mohamed Ali Shaaban.
The membership term of the board shall last for four years and in the event of the chairperson’s absence or inability to perform duties, the deputy chairperson shall assume the chairperson’s responsibilities.
Article II
The Chairperson and Board of Trustees members sha
ll receive a compensation based on the guidelines outlined in Edict (25) of 2015, regarding compensations for chairpersons and members of government boards and committees, the responsibilities of the relevant government entities and implementation procedures.
Article III
The Prime Minister and the ministers – each in their capacity – shall implement this decree, which shall come into effect from the date of its issuance, and be published in the Official Gazette.
