HM King deputises Personal Representative to attend ceremony marking HM King Charles III’s coronation

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today deputised HM the King’s Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to attend the ceremony which was hosted yesterday by the UK Embassy to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Diplomat Hotel, marking the Coronation ceremony of His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Head of the Commonwealth.

HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa was welcomed on arrival by the UK Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roddy Drummond, ministers, senior officials, ambassadors and embassy’s staff.

HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad conveyed congratulations from HM the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing HM King Charles III good health and happiness to lead the United Kingdom to achieve further development, progress and prosperity.

He praised longstanding strategic partnership, and solid relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, spanning over 200 years, in light of HM the King’s directives to further reinforce joint ties across all fields.

The two countries’ national anthems were played, and then the UK Ambassador addressed the ceremony, expressing thanks and gratitude to HM the King for patronising the ceremony hosted by the embassy in Bahrain, marking the coronation of HM King Charles III.

He valued the presence of HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa on behalf of HM the King, hailing the advanced level attained by the Bahrain-UK relations through fruitful meetings bringing together governmental, economic and trade sectors.
