Doha, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received Saturday a phone call from HE President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Ebrahim Raisi.
During the call, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to develop them, and several regional and international issues of common interest, particularly concerning the developments in the Palestinian territories and Israel.
HH the Amir emphasized the importance of efforts to de-escalate the situation, sparing civilians from the consequences of the fighting, opening safe corridors in Gaza for relief and humanitarian efforts, and ensuring that the violence does not expand regionally.
His Highness stressed the State of Qatar’s firm position in condemning the targeting of civilians, collective punishment policies, and calls for the displacement of Palestinians.
