HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met Thursday with HE President of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Bellevue Presidential Palace in Berlin.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE the German President welcomed HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation, expressing his thanks to His Highness for accepting the invitation and visiting Germany, praising this visit and the relations between the two countries that are based on the foundations of friendship, cooperation, mutual respect and common interests, wishing His Highness a good stay in Germany.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his appreciation to HE German President for his generous hospitality and warm reception, praising the friendly relations between the two countries and hoping that this visit would contribute to opening new prospects of cooperation in all fields. His Highness also expressed his wishes of good health and happiness to His Excellency and further progress and prosperity to his country.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two friendly countries and aspects of developing and advancing them at various levels, in addition to discussing the current regional and international developments.
The meeting was attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
On the German side, it was attended by HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Tobias Lindner, HE Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Office of the Federal President Wolfgang Silbermann, HE the official spokesperson for the Federal President Cerstin Gammelin, and HE private secretary of the Federal President Daniela Lerner, in addition to an advisor in the Foreign Policy Department of the Federal President’s Office.
