HH the Amir Leads Key Economic Council Meeting at Amiri Diwan

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, presided over the council’s third meeting of the year 2025, held on Wednesday at the Amiri Diwan. Joining him were HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, Vice Chairman of the Council, and HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, along with other esteemed council members.

According to Qatar News Agency, the council reviewed the decisions and recommendations made during its second meeting earlier in 2025 and assessed a project follow-up report. Members were briefed on the progress concerning the nation’s economic priorities and made decisions accordingly.

The council also examined recent updates from the Ministry of Public Health regarding health insurance for citizens. Additionally, it considered proposals from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry related to the national direct investment plan and the formation of a company to oversee local assets.

The agenda items were discussed thoroughly, and the council made appropriate decisions to address the issues presented.
