Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan with HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today. The session began with HH the Amir welcoming HE the Pakistani Prime Minister and his delegation, expressing a desire for their pleasant stay and for the relations between Qatar and Pakistan to further develop in various fields for the mutual benefit of both peoples.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Prime Minister of Pakistan thanked HH the Amir for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Qatar and advancing it to broader horizons across various sectors. During the session, discussions included ways to bolster bilateral relations, focusing on defense, economy, investment, and culture. They also addressed prominent regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly developments in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territori
es, and Lebanon.
The session was attended by several dignitaries from both sides. From Qatar, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, and HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi were present, along with other ranking officials.
On the Pakistani side, the meeting was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ishaq Dar, HE Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif, HE Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, HE Minister of Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb, and HE Federal Minister of Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Attaullah Tarar, along with several senior officials and members of the accompanying delegation.
