Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed Al Sharaa, on Wednesday. The conversation focused on strengthening the brotherly relations between the two nations and exploring ways to deepen and expand these ties.

According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders also discussed recent regional and international developments, with a particular emphasis on the evolving situation in the Middle East. HE the President of Syria expressed his gratitude for Qatar's role and efforts in easing regional tensions and enhancing both regional and international security.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of increasing efforts to de-escalate tensions regionally and internationally. They emphasized prioritizing political solutions and dialogue, which they believe will help consolidate stability in the region. They further highlighted the necessity of sparing the peoples of the region from further tensions and working towards settling disputes through diplomatic means, aiming for a comprehensive agreement that achieves enduring peace.
