His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, has chaired the Security Committee meeting, in the presence of members of the various security directorates at the Ministry of Interior.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali stressed the role of the cooperative partnership of security officials as part of the instructions of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

His Highness reviewed a presentation made by the security officer, which included complaints and needs received through direct meetings with citizens and from electronic channels such as the “Tawasul” programme and the Southern application, stressing that he would study the outputs and monitor community needs and observations.

The meeting highlighted the important developments in the different areas of the district and the strengthening of the security needs.

The meeting also reviewed the efforts made by the security personnel of the General Directorate of Civil Defence in dealing with fire emergencies, praising the security readiness and the speed of response to ensure the security and safety of citizens and residents in the governorate.

He discussed the back-to-school efforts of the General Directorate of Traffic to ensure the safety of road users and regulate traffic during peak hours.

He then followed the preparations of the security forces and the measures taken to accommodate the various programmes and events that are coming forward in the different areas of the Governorate.
