Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, spoke at the opening of the Arab Youth Media Forum, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The forum was organised as part of the Arab Media Summit 2024. It aims to empower and engage youth in the media industry.
Upon arrival, HH Shaikh Nasser was received by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.
In the segment “In Conversation: HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, His Highness said believing in youth was a facet of the Arab culture. His Highness emphasised that the UAE’s commitment to supporting Arab youth through initiatives like hosting the Arab Media Forum in Dubai, came within the framework of the priorities of joint Arab action.
His Highness underscored the importance of supporti
ng Arab youth by developing their skills to build the future of their countries, noting that the capabilities of youth reprsented half of the present and the entirety of the future. His Highness emphasised the significance of national identity as the guiding force for the Arab nation’s achievements, recalling that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founder of the UAE, has once said that those who do not have a past, do not have a present nor a future.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasised the role of Arab youth in harnessing media to positively engage with regional developments and changes.
His Highness highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to empower youth by providing them with opportunities to build and modernise, instilling confidence to implement their ideas, and cultivating a culture of faith and hope.
