HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad: GCC leaders’ vision prioritises empowering youth

Manama, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs, emphasised that the Gulf Youth Day was aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to maximise support for GCC youth.

His Highness said that the vision also priotises empowering youth, instilling hope, and creating opportunities for them to develop their skills to lead the future in their countries.

HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted that Gulf Youth Day aims to strengthen joint Gulf action towards youth by unifying ideas and visions through an integrated methodology. The day also focuses on supporting and qualifying a generation of young people by leveraging education and knowledge, as well as the best expertise and skills.

In a statement on Gulf Youth Day, His Highness said that the GCC leaders’ directives to invest in youth have created a sense of security and confidence among young people, ori
enting them towards active participation in the Gulf countries’ development process.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasised that youth in the GCC countries are very capable and have gained skills and knowledge from the well designed programmes and initiatives offered to them. His Highness highlighted that youth would play a crucial role in helping the GCC countries to further develop and grow in the future, and that they will continue to contribute to the sustainability and progress of various sectors.
