Haniyeh: We reject any settlement that excludes Hamas after the war

Jerusalem – Ma’an – “Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, rejected, on Wednesday, any settlement that excludes the Hamas movement after the war, stressing the movement’s adherence to its demands that any ceasefire agreement lead to an end to the war in Gaza.”

Haniyeh pointed to the complexities of the current negotiations between Hamas and Israel, considering that the amendments made by Israel to the recent proposals put the negotiations in a dead end.

The head of the Hamas political bureau stressed “the continuation of resistance and Hamas’ cooperation with the mediators of Egypt and Qatar to reach a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.”

Haniyeh pointed out that “the resistance in Gaza continues to confront the Israeli aggression over the past eight months, despite the difference in the balance of power.”
