H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has met with the Emirati students pursuing their studies at a number of the United Kingdom's universities.
During the meeting, held as part of his current state visit to the UK, Sheikh Abdullah acquainted himself with the specialisations and studies pursued by the students in the various UK universities. He also engaged in talks with the students about their progress and about their role as ambassadors to their country abroad.
"The UAE students are actually ambassadors of knowledge and they have to achieve excellence and to represent their country in the best possible way while pursuing education abroad," he said.
Sheikh Abdullah urged the students to work hard and persevere in their quest for education. He praised their determination to achieve excellence and to overcome any challenges facing them in that stage before their return to their country to engage in the development process at the various sectors.
The 73 male and female student delegation expressed their delight and pride at meeting with Sheikh Abdullah and pledged to excel and attain highest academic degrees.
They also expressed their appreciation for the services and support provided to them by the country to facilitate their studies.
The meeting was attended by Sulaiman Hamed Salem Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Abdul Rahman Ali Al Harmoudi, Military Attache, Ahmed Musabah Al Ka'abi, Police Attache, and Abdullah Musabah Al Ka'abi, Cultural Attache at the UAE Embassy in the UK.
