Governor Dudin and Minister Shaaban inspect the targeted areas in the south of the governorate

HEBRON-Ma’an- Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin and the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Minister Mu’ayyad Shaaban, on Sunday inspected the areas targeted by the occupation and its settlers in the south of the governorate, accompanied by the Secretary of the South Hebron Region, Iyad Rayyan, the Director General of Education in the South, Yasser Saleh, the Director General of Agriculture in the South, Khalil Abu Aqifan, the Director General of the Commission in the governorate, Muhammad Amr, and representatives of international organizations that support citizens in these areas.

The tour began in the village of Zanuta, south of the city of Dhahiriya, then visited the village of Susya and Khirbet Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, then the village of Birin, west of the town of Bani Naim, where these areas have been subjected to daily demolition and attacks by the occupation forces and its settlers after October 7 with the aim of displacing citizens for the benefit of settlement expansion.

or Dudin was briefed in detail on the needs of the citizens and the violations they are exposed to, saying: ‘All our people in these areas, despite all the destruction, especially after October 7, are steadfast and have not left their homes and lands. This is evidence of their roots in this land, and we and all official and civil institutions are prepared to provide everything possible to strengthen their steadfastness and resilience in the face of the arrogance of the occupation and settlers in all parts of the governorate.’

Minister Shaaban stressed that the Authority is closely following up on all the attacks taking place, especially in the Hebron Governorate, praising the legal efforts made to return the citizens to the village of Zanuta, and that all the issues and needs raised by the citizens during the tour will be followed up and implemented immediately despite all the difficult circumstances, and that the coming days will witness many steps that will support and assist the citizens in all the target
ed areas in the Hebron Governorate.

For their part, the heads of the village councils and citizens in these areas expressed their thanks and appreciation for this visit, which contributes to their steadfastness in their lands, and that the immediate response to many of the needs that were raised reflects the great concern and interest of the Palestinian leadership and government in their concerns and issues.

Director of Education Yasser Saleh confirmed that the new school year will be opened from the Zanuta School, which was demolished by the occupation a few days ago.

In the same context, the Director of Southern Agriculture, Khalil Abu Aqifan, confirmed that the ministry will meet all the needs of farmers in these areas. Representatives of international organizations also stressed that they will provide the necessary support to citizens in the coming days.
