Doha:First paragraph of the news story.
According to Qatar News Agency, Germany's annual inflation rate increased to 3.3 percent in September, up from 2.9 percent in August, primarily due to soaring energy prices. Economic data indicates that German companies are increasingly transferring these rising costs to consumers.
Preliminary estimates revealed a 0.6 percent rise in consumer prices in September compared to the previous month. Energy prices saw a significant annual increase of 14.9 percent, a jump from 10.5 percent in August and 8.3 percent in July.
An economic survey released today highlighted that more German companies plan to raise their product prices. The price expectations index rose to 22.7 points in September from 21.4 points in August, reflecting the trend of passing higher energy costs onto consumers.
The most significant increase was noted among energy-intensive industrial companies, where the index climbed from 19.5 points in August to 24.8 points in September. Non-energy-intensive industrial companies also saw an index rise from 19.2 to 20.4 points.
