The General Cars Syndicate, which represents the accredited pilgrim transport companies, said it has completed its preparations to transport pilgrims for the Hajj season 1445 AH.
According to SPA, over 2000 employees have been recruited to carry out its operating plan, which targets transporting around 1.5 million pilgrims.
A total of 72 transport companies have registered to work under the syndicate for this year’s Hajj, with a fleet of 22,000 buses and 1000 cars to transport pilgrims. All meet the technical requirements of the Transport General Authority.
To implement its operational plan, the syndicate said it has 16 support centres, 400 mobile workshops, and a vehicle lift (crane) available around the clock to provide maintenance and support services for buses transporting pilgrims.
