GCC Secretary-General: Joint Action Plan with Azerbaijan Promotes Strategic Relations

Baku, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi said that a joint plan of action for the years 2024-2028 has been adopted together with Azerbaijan, which will strengthen the strategic relations between the two parties and help them achieve common goals.

Al-Budaiwi made the announcement at a meeting he held with Azeri Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku, Azerbaijan, to discuss topics of common interest, and exchange views on a number of regional and international issues.

According to Al-Budaiwi, the action plan covers various areas, including political and trade cooperation, investment opportunities, and energy.

He said that the GCC countries are committed to building and strengthening their relations with regional and global countries and blocs, stressing that the GCC countries are particularly interested in boosting ties with Azerbaijan, in the interest of both parties.
