Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi stressed the significance of strengthening the strategic dialogue between the GCC and Turkiye.
This came during a meeting that Al Budaiwi held on Monday with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Burak Akcapar.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the current international situation with its most prominent challenges and crises regionally and internationally, where it was agreed to intensify joint technical teams’ meetings, which were formed under the framework of the joint action plan between the GCC and Turkiye.
Al Budaiwi pointed out the importance of advancing and developing GCC-Turkish cooperation relations in all fields, in a way that contributes to serving mutual interests.
The Secretary-General explained that the GCC and Turkish sides are looking forward to setting a date for the 6th joint ministerial strategic dialogue meeting between them, which will be held at the level of foreign ministers.
