Doha: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned a Houthi drone attack on Saudi Arabia's Taif Governorate, which killed one person, injured others, and caused material damage after drone debris fell in the area. GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi described the repeated targeting of civilian and populated areas in Saudi Arabia as a serious escalation and a violation of international law.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi called for a firm international response to such attacks, including efforts to stop them and hold those responsible accountable. He reaffirmed the GCC's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
