Doha:HE Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi expressed gratitude for the restoration of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Rwanda.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi acknowledged Qatar's significant diplomatic efforts in fostering a collaborative environment that facilitated this diplomatic renewal, bridging the differences between the two nations.

He highlighted that Qatar's hosting of the first direct meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Belgium and Rwanda in Doha, alongside its proactive diplomatic initiatives, underscores the high regard for Qatari diplomacy on both regional and global platforms.

Albudaiwi emphasized that this successful diplomatic outcome, emerging from committed diplomacy and dialogue, demonstrates the potential for resolving differences and rebuilding trust among nations, ultimately contributing to global security, stability, and peace.
