French President Says Recognition of Palestinian Statehood Unaffected by Occupation’s Attempts

Paris: French President Emanuel Macron warned today against any attempt by the Israeli Occupation to annex land, stressing that these practices won’t stand in the way of recognizing a state of Palestine. He emphasized that the pursuit of a two-state solution remains a priority for France and that unilateral actions should not impede this objective.

According to Qatar News Agency, the French President highlighted the momentum he initiated with HH Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. This collaboration aims to strengthen diplomatic efforts toward achieving lasting peace in the region. Macron reiterated France’s commitment to supporting Palestinian statehood despite ongoing challenges.

The French president also criticized the recent US decision to deny visas to Palestinian officials for attending the UN General Assembly meetings. He labeled the move as unacceptable and urged international bodies to ensure Palestinian representation in global dialogues. Macron’s comments underscore France’s stance on maintaining diplomatic inclusivity and fostering dialogue between all parties involved.
