French president emmanuel macron and his lebanese counterpart:rench President Emmanuel Macron and his Lebanese counterpart, General Joseph Aoun, discussed the situation in Lebanon amidst ongoing Israeli aggression.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Presidency issued a statement indicating that both leaders reviewed the situation in Lebanon in light of recent developments and Israeli attacks on Lebanese villages and towns. Efforts to halt these attacks, particularly considering the Lebanese-US-Israeli negotiations and the framework agreement signed during that process, were also discussed.

During the talks, the Lebanese President presented an overview of developments in southern Lebanon and the post-UNIFIL phase.

The discussions further addressed progress made in formulating UN Security Council proposals regarding the future of the international presence in the south, with the aim of aligning with the diplomatic track and preventing a vacuum following the expiration of UNIFIL's mandate.

Additionally, the two sides explored avenues for cooperation across various sectors, including the economy and energy.
