Doha: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reclaimed the top position in the French Ligue 1 standings on Saturday after defeating visiting side Auxerre with a comfortable 2-0 victory. The match, held at the Parc des Princes stadium in the capital, was part of the sixth round of the competition.

According to Qatar News Agency, the goals for PSG were scored by the Ukrainian defender Illia Zabarnyi in the 32nd minute and the Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo in the 54th minute. The win puts Paris Saint-Germain back on track following their first defeat of the season, a 1-0 loss to rivals Marseille in the fifth round.

PSG has now achieved its fifth victory of the season, taking sole possession of first place, for now, with 15 points. This total gives them a three-point lead over Lyon, who are scheduled to visit Lille on Sunday to conclude the round.
