Former Radio and TV CEO: Bahraini talent enriched national media progress

Ambassador Khalil Ibrahim Al Thawadi, Assistant Secretary General, Head of Arab Affairs Sector and National Security Sector at the Arab League former CEO of Bahrain Radio and Television, has affirmed that the media achievements in Bahrain reflected the visions and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which provided a spaced of freedom and creativity that contributed to the comprehensive development in the Kingdom.

Ambassador Al Thawadi expressed his gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for visiting the Ministry of Information and inaugurating the new main studio of the News Centre and the private radio studios building, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of television broadcasting in Bahrain. The visit reaffirmed the keenness of the government, led by HRH, to further advance the media sector with the latest modern technologies.

He said that HRH’s unlimited support for the media sector in Bahrain is a source of pride and a great motivation to continue hard work and dedication to contribute to the advancement of the national media.

Ambassador Al Thawadi added that the celebration of the golden jubilee of television broadcasting was a landmark occasion, underlining the importance of credibility and responsibility of the national media, which should be able to influence and keep pace of advancements in the media industry.

He noted that media work requires ongoing efforts to excel and that competitiveness in this field fosters innovation and creativity, urging the younger generations in radio, television and in various media outlets in Bahrain to adhere to professional ethics, and to constantly work to develop themselves on cultural, educational and professional levels.
