The Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met with the Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and United Nations at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Lord Tariq Ahmed, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition Against Daesh, held in Riyadh.
The meeting reviewed relations of cooperation, friendship, and the close strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
Both sides discussed means to enhance relations in various political, economic and security fields in light of the outcomes of the meetings of the Bahraini-UK Joint Committee, which held its fifteenth meeting in Manama last February. They also spotlighted a number of regional and international issues, stressing keenness of the two friendly countries to combat extremism and terrorism and consolidate security, stability and peaceful coexistence in the Middle East and the world.
