Foreign Ministry signs MoU with Russia

As part of the official visit by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Russian Federation, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The memorandum was signed by Alexander Yakovenko, the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Russian side.

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa commended the longstanding historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, highlighting the development and growth in all areas of cooperation. He emphasised the commitment of the two countries’ leaderships to further develop these relations to serve common interests.

The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in training and improving the professional skills of diplomats in
both countries. Dr. Abdullah stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and benefiting from diplomatic practices between Bahrain and Russia to achieve progress and development in diplomatic training.

He commended the positive outcomes of His Majesty the King’s official visit to Russia, reflecting the determination of both sides to elevate and develop cooperation across various fields for the mutual benefit of both nations.
