Foreign Minister, UAE counterpart discuss regional issues, Arab Summit agenda

Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Affairs Minister, held a meeting with his UAE counterpart, HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the presence of Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, the Minister of State at the UAE Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The meeting is part of the Foreign Affairs Minister’s tour that has covered several Arab countries.

The two ministers discussed the progress of the long-standing solid fraternal Bahrain-UAE relations, ways to bolster bilateral cooperation across various fields, as well as increasing joint coordination and consultation at all levels to serve the two countries’ interests and common goals.

They also discussed the latest regional developments and the war in the Gaza Strip, as well as the ongoing regional and global endeavours to reach a ceasefire immediately, protect civilians and deliver relief aid to the Gazans, in addition to efforts to establish regional peace, security and stability.

The ongoing preparations for holding the 33rd Arab Summit, set to be
hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on May 16, and the topics to be discussed during it to achieve the goals of joint Arab action and serve Arab interests were also reviewed.
