Foreign Minister meets Lebanese counterpart

New York, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Abdallah Bou Habib, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Republic of Lebanon.

The meeting discussed bilateral ties and advancing cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the current regional situation, the high tension and escalation on the Lebanese-Israeli border, its repercussions on security and stability in Lebanon, the developments of the war on the Gaza Strip, efforts to cease fire, and facilitating humanitarian access to the civilian population.

The two officials emphasised the importance of implementing Security Council Resolution 1701 on the situation in Lebanon, and descalation on the Lebanese-Israeli border.

They also underscored the importance of devoting efforts to enhance security and stability in Lebanon and providing Arab support to address political, security and economic challenges facing it and the repercussions on Lebanon’s s
ecurity, stability and prosperity.
