Manama, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Affairs Minister, today held a telephone call with Mohammed Mustafa, the Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of the State of Palestine.
Dr. Al Zayani conveyed greetings and appreciation from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Palestinian Prime Minister, as well as their congratulations to him following the formation of the new Palestinian government, wishing him continued success.
The Foreign Affairs Minister affirmed Bahrain’s support for the just Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to freedom, dignity and justice.
He reiterated the kingdom’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution and the international legitimacy resolutions.
Dr. Al Zayani commended the Palestinia
n leadership’s request to the UN Security Council to accept the State of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations, expressing hope that the bid will be approved. In this regard, he affirmed Bahrain’s readiness to provide the required political and diplomatic support to back the Palestinian cause.
The Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to the Foreign Affairs Minister. He requested Dr. Al Zayani to convey his greetings and appreciation to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in addition to his wishes for further progress and prosperity to the kingdom.
Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa lauded the solid fraternal Bahraini-Palestinian relations in all fields, praising the kingdom’s firm supportive stance towards the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.
The two sides discussed the deep-rooted fraternal Bahraini-Palestinian relations, as well as ways to enhance them in all fields to achieve common interests.

hey also discussed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, and their impact on regional security and stability, as well as the civilian population in the enclave.
