Finnish Foreign Minister and Algerian Counterpart Discuss Bilateral Relations and Global Developments

Doha: Foreign Minister of Finland, Elina Valtonen, held discussions with her Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, focusing on bilateral cooperation and regional and international developments during Attaf’s visit to Helsinki.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of establishing institutional mechanisms to enhance bilateral cooperation and strengthen the legal framework governing relations between Finland and Algeria. The discussions also touched on current developments in regions such as the Middle East and the Sahel-Saharan area, in addition to the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.

Both parties underscored the necessity for continued coordination to promote values of peace and justice while upholding international law and the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.
